Thank you to all our members for joining us for a wonderful Valentine's celebration. Kolo on the floor, and romance in the air - Valentine's the Croatian way.
A special thanks to the folks from the Croatian Club Karlovac , Croatian National Home, Zrinski Frankopan Folklore Ensemble and the Canadian-Croatian Chamber of Commerce for joining us for our inaugural Valentine's Day Fundraising effort at the Croatian National Centre Niagara Peninsula!
Thank you to Tony Baldinelli, Member of Parliament for Niagara Falls, for joining us to share common experiences between our friends at Club Italia and our own community.
And a warm "thank you" to Mersa Meri Miljković and Tihomir the One-Man-Band for their fantastic musical entertainment. Mersa is truly a star among us. Hope to see you again in Canada soon!
We're excited to continue building positive relationships with our friends at Croatian National Home , Zrinski Frankopan Folklore Ensemble and the Croatian Club Karlovac.

Croatian-Canadian Thanksgiving 2023
On October 14th, our Croatian community in Niagara gave thanks for the opportunities we have all had in Canada as Croatian-Canadians – first, second and third generation.
Thank you to Mayor Gary Zelepa for visiting us that evening to welcome the community on behalf of the Municipality of Niagara-on-the-Lake.
We also took a moment to honour past founding families of the Croatian National Centre Niagara Peninsula from 1974-1975, and several of the families that have kept this Centre going over the years in fundamental ways – many of whom were with us to celebrate the evening with Grupa Volta, who delighted us with their beautiful music.
Join us next year for the Annual Croatian-Canadian Thanksgiving in October 2024!
If you missed out on the evening fun this time, there will be many more opportunities coming up in Niagara this year and next year.

Dana 14. listopada naša hrvatska zajednica u Niagari zahvalila je za prilike koje imamo u Kanadi kao Hrvati-Kanađani – prva, druga i treća generacija.
Hvala gradonačelniku Garyju Zelepi što nas je posjetio te večeri kako bi poželio dobrodošlicu zajednici u ime općine Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Također smo odvojili trenutak da odamo počast prošlim obiteljima osnivačima Hrvatskog nacionalnog centra Poluotok Niagara od 1974. do 1975. i obiteljima koje su održavale ovaj Centar tijekom godina na temeljne načine – od kojih su mnoge bile s nama na proslavi večeri uz Grupu Volta koja nas je oduševila svojom glazbom.
Pridružite nam se sljedeće godine na godišnjem Hrvatsko-kanadskom danu zahvalnosti u listopadu 2024.

CANADA DAY "SUMMER SIZZLER" BBQ 2023!
Thank you to all of the Volunteers and Members of the Croatian National Centre Niagara Peninsula who joined us for an inaugural Canada Day “Summer Sizzler” BBQ on July 1st, 2023.
Officially, and most importantly, we had a lot of winners in the Egg Race competition – both young and old(er).
We are looking forward to seeing everyone at next year's Canada Day BBQ! Suggestions for growing the event in the future include incorporating a drop in “for fun only” Canada Day Soccer and Volleyball Tournament. And, it's a great idea that the Cultural Programming Committee will develop going forward.
Overall, we have just under 80 people come out to the BBQ and all of the lamb and pork was sold off by the end of evening. It was a great turn out for a small members-focused event on a long-weekend. Thank you to everyone who purchased food at the event, thereby contributing to the ongoing repairs and maintenance required for the Centre's sustainability.
See you soon at our upcoming events later this Summer and Fall!

MAY 30: CROATIAN STATEHOOD DAY
The Croatian National Centre Niagara Peninsula, represented by Chair, Josipa Petrunic, and Vice-Chair, Anja Pavela, attended the Recognition of Croatian Statehood Day on May 30th in Mississauga with Consul General, Ante Jovic, and Mayor Bonnie Crombie of Mississauga. The Centre looks forward to hosting its own Statehood Recognition Day ceremony in May 2024.
